Lotus' Sip & Spa Party

11.15.2011

Although Lemon Drop Team specializes in custom dessert tables, we're happy to work with our clients to create any types of table station desired. Last week, I put together a candy station for owner, Catherine of Lotus Mind and Body Spa for her 'Sip & Spa Party' located in Needham, MA. The candy jars were filled with four different types of candy choices: lemon meringue salt water taffy, orange fruit slices, green chocolate lentils and sour watermelon belts. I purchased clear plastic cello bags from Nashville Wraps along with tongs and scoops so guests could help themselves to whatever they preferred.

The party was so much fun and attendees at the event got to enjoy free mini massages, facials, nail arts and makeovers by GloMinerals Make Up Artist, Anna Cristino. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks were also available through out the night. Here are some photos of our candy station for the party.

Catherine, the event was amazing and I can't wait to work with you again next year!

Happy Birthday

11.04.2011

I have a lot to be grateful for this year and this company is one of them. A year ago, I started Lemon Drop Team because I desperately wanted to offer a service that allows couples to enjoy their wedding day instead of worrying about the minor details. Along the way, I've been fortunate enough to have met so many fabulous couples who trusted me to coordinate one of the most important days of their lives. The bond that I've built with my brides and grooms are truly special and I'm blessed every day that I get to do what I love.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all of you who has been following and spreading the love about Lemon Drop Team! We can't wait to share many more sweets, weddings and smiles with you on our blog.

Candy Apple Station Anyone?

10.20.2011

For the Fall Brides thinking of a great "exit bar" for your guests at the end of the night, how exciting would it be to have a candy apple station? Guest can dip mini or regular sized apples in melted chocolate, candy or in my ultimate favorite, CARAMEL. You could serve the apples with various of toppings and just about anything that your little heart's desire. I think I'll make mine a APPLE COMBO with caramel, M&M's, crushed nuts and a little drizzle of white chocolate. What about yours?

Nilufer & Redwan Part 1 l Mehndi

10.03.2011

This past July, I was the Day-of-Coordinator for Nilufer and Redwan's two day Indian wedding. The first part was a peacock themed Mehndi. Some of you are probably wondering what is a Mehndi? It's a party for the bride and her female loved ones that occurs before she gets married. But with all the guests arriving from all over the world, the lovely couple invited everyone who was attending their wedding day.
During the Mehndi celebration, henna ink tattoos were applied on the palms and feet of the bride and the ladies. The designs were so intricate and beautiful. In India, they believe that the darker the stain left behind, the deeper the love is between the bride and groom. Throughout this dynamic duo’s Mehndi, there were tons of performances by the bridal party, friends and family. At one point, even the groom got up and performed a number with the groomsmen!

Shoba from Alankar Decors decorated the stage and it looked phenomenal!
Peacock feathers were placed inside each napkin folds
Beautifully wrapped gifts were placed all over the stage for Nilufer and Redwan
This was my first Mehndi experience and it was incredible. Thanks to Michelle of Michelle Forbes Photography for these fantastic photos! Details of Nilufer and Redwan's wedding will be posted shortly. Enjoy.

Wine Themed Dessert Table l Housewarming

8.22.2011

This past Saturday, I had such a blast creating a wine themed dessert table for friends of mine who were hosting a housewarming party in Quincy, MA. The table creation had desserts from Cannolis, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Mini Tiramisus and many more mouth watering treats. When I was imagining the dessert table in my head, I wanted it to look simple and clean. My friend, Jane loves red wine so I took that idea and used it for our theme.
I decorated the table with bottles of Red Wine that Jane and Mike already had in their home. On the corners of the table, I placed couple of wine glasses and artificial grapes to give the table dimension and personality. The grapes were purchased from the Dollar Tree in Hanover, MA and the place cards were made at the Paper Store in Higham.

* Sorry for the low quality photos. I had left my camera at home so the next best thing was my Iphone.
The mini Cheesecakes, Fruit Tarts, Cannolis and Tiramisus are from Konditor Meister located in Braintree, MA
The fruit tarts were amazingly DELISH and the colors fit right into the theme
I purchased these chocolate chip cookies from a local bakery and placed them into clear baggies and tied it with a string. The cardstock, I cut them into square shapes and bought a “Thank You” stamp from Michaels Store and stamped the tags.

Congratulations to my good friends, Jane and Mike, on their gorgeous new home.  I can’t wait to stop by for our wine and cheese nights! Love you both.

{Engagement} Anh & Leon

8.16.2011

He's a doctor and she's a nurse. We are so excited to be coordinating our dynamic pair, Anh and Leon's wedding at the end of August at Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island. If you haven't seen the venue in person, you are in for a surprise. I don't want to give too much away, so all I'm going to say is clean, modern and white. Trust me when I tell you this is going to be one extravagant wedding!

These fantastic pictures were taken by San Francisco photographer, Mark Kuroda at The Highline located in the Meatpacking District in New York City.

Nargis & Stephen's Wedding

7.29.2011

On May 29th, 2011, I was the day-of-coordinator for Nargis and Stephen's Indian wedding at the Doubletree Hotel in Westborough, MA. The day started out bright and early for the bride and her bridesmaids with hair and make-up styled by the talented Noel McKinnon in the Alexander Room.

The bride and groom had their "first look" outside of the hotel and the photo guru, Binita Patel, was there to capture every moment. Afterwards, Binita took the entire bridal party over to the University of Phoenix for some portrait photos. She really can’t take any horrible pictures. The entire day was filled with lots of love and laughter and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

The ceremony and reception took place in the Viking Room with the stage decorated by Prasang Decorators and centerpieces by Jennifer from A Beautiful Bouquet. The centerpieces were created with three hurricane vases filled with flowers and topped with a floating candle. When it was time for dinner, guests were treated to a traditional Indian buffet catered by Bollywood Grill and a decadent wedding cake from Gerardo's Italian Bakery. When it was time to get the party started, DJ Sukh did an amazing job with making sure every guest was on their feet and having a great time.

Nargis and Stephen, thank you so much for allowing us to take part of your special day. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
