Nargis & Stephen's Wedding

7.29.2011

On May 29th, 2011, I was the day-of-coordinator for Nargis and Stephen's Indian wedding at the Doubletree Hotel in Westborough, MA. The day started out bright and early for the bride and her bridesmaids with hair and make-up styled by the talented Noel McKinnon in the Alexander Room.

The bride and groom had their "first look" outside of the hotel and the photo guru, Binita Patel, was there to capture every moment. Afterwards, Binita took the entire bridal party over to the University of Phoenix for some portrait photos. She really can’t take any horrible pictures. The entire day was filled with lots of love and laughter and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

The ceremony and reception took place in the Viking Room with the stage decorated by Prasang Decorators and centerpieces by Jennifer from A Beautiful Bouquet. The centerpieces were created with three hurricane vases filled with flowers and topped with a floating candle. When it was time for dinner, guests were treated to a traditional Indian buffet catered by Bollywood Grill and a decadent wedding cake from Gerardo's Italian Bakery. When it was time to get the party started, DJ Sukh did an amazing job with making sure every guest was on their feet and having a great time.

Nargis and Stephen, thank you so much for allowing us to take part of your special day. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness.

Kristin & Matt's Ocean City Wedding

2.25.2011

September of last year,  I was the partial coordinator for Kristin and Matt's beach themed wedding at the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel in Ocean City, MD. The couple chose Ocean City as their wedding destination because Kristin has been going there ever since she could remember. The short, yet intimate ceremony was held on the beach facing towards the gorgeous ocean. There were a few young onlookers on the beach paying their undivided attention to the ceremony which I thought was too cute for words! Afterward, cocktail hour and the reception was held inside the Clarion Resort ballroom. The guests and I got to witness the coolest entrance. Kristin and Matt had their entire bridal party reenacting the dance scenes from the movie, Hitch . Some of my favorite memories from Kristin and Matt's wedding were the adorable beach chair seating charts and the awesome groom's cake.

Kristin and Matt, best wishes to you both and thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day.

Susan & Moses' Brunch Reception Wedding l Part 2 of 2

12.08.2010

Happy Wednesday LDT readers! If you haven't read Susan and Moses' (SuMo) Wedding Part 1 , take a glance because you'll find some helpful Do-It-Yourself ideas! On the beautiful sunny yet windy morning of May 15, 2010, Diane and I were the day-of coordinators for SuMo’s aqua and red affair. The gorgeous, bride wore a stunning, strapless, mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline by Allure and held a all white bouquet made of Hydrangeas, Ranunculus and Freesia. Dana Tran, from Bumble Bee Landing , created all the flowers for the entire wedding party. I would highly recommend her because she’s absolutely fabulous.

The ceremony was held outdoors with the back drop of Boston at the Hyatt Harborside Hotel and the brunch reception was at Rocca Kitchen and Bar . The last stop of the night was at Hai Le Moon restaurant in Chinatown. The very talented photographer,   Joshua Behan , captured every moment brilliantly!

SuMo decided on a brunch reception because they wanted an atmosphere that was intimate, fun and budget friendly. The wedding was most definitely one of a kind. Some of the many highlights of the brunch were the three different flavors of Bellini's: Mimosa, Pear, and Blood Orange.  The delicious hor' dourves were prepared by Chef Tiffani Faison, who appeared on Bravo’s Top Chef Season 1! The photo-booth with fun props and six different types of cake were from  Dessert Works in Norwood. My most favorite moment of this wedding was when Susan sang Moses a song which was a total surprise to him and the guests.

All the vendors we worked with were phenomenal. A special thanks to Diane for assisting me.

Susan and Moses, I love you both and thank you for allowing me to take part of your wedding. I can see the love you have for one another.  It's simply pure, kind, and incredible.

The wedding of SuMo was also featured in one of my favorite blogs, La Belle Bride .
